Day 9: Ranch oyster crackers

After making homemade ranch, I needed to use it to make something. Give it a real test in my world. Little T loves crackers & dipping stuff in ranch...so ranch oyster crackers was a perfect idea!!  They are a tasty & nice snack to have on hand.

This recipe I give a 4. Fairly easy to make & it took only 20 minutes from start to finish. Plus it's pretty darn tasty!!

Original recipe can be found at examiner.com

Ingredients:
1 packet of ranch mix (or in my case...I used my homemade match mix)
1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp dried dill weed
salt and pepper to taste
1 bag of oyster crackers (10oz)

Step 1:  Preheat oven to 250 degrees

Step 2:  In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients and mix well.

Step 3:  Stir in oyster crackers and mix well....very well.

Step 4:  Pour crackers onto a large cookie sheet.

Step 5:  Bake 15 minutes and stir every 5 minutes.

Step 6:  Cool and place in covered container.

There you go and quick and easy snack.

I made a double batch of the crackers so I would have plenty.  Once you start it is sure hard to stop!!  With my double batch I actually used 2 1/2 bags of crackers.  Not as oily for little fingers....I sure don't need any extra finger prints around our house.
